Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Dedicated Leased Line?

A Dedicated Leased Line is the ultimate internet connection. With a fibre optic line direct to your business premises, you can benefit from a connection that’s exclusively yours, unlike Fibre and Broadband connections which use a shared network.

A Dedicated Leased Line is often referred to as a Leased Line, a Dedicated Line, Ethernet or DIA (Direct Internet Access), but they all refer to an internet line that cuts out the cabinet and connects directly to your business premise.

Are there different types of Leased Lines?

There are a number of different leased line options that exist, and we supply EoFTTC (Ethernet over Fibre to the Cabinet) and DIA (Dedicated Internet Access).

All our Dedicated Leased Lines are available in a range of different speeds: 100Mb/s, 1Gb/s and our fastest option, 10Gb/s. These speeds are for both uploads and downloads.

What's the difference between a leased line and business broadband?

Traditional broadband – such as Business Broadband or Business Fibre – is a contended connection shared by multiple organisations. As bandwidth is shared between neighbouring businesses, during busy periods you may experience slowdown to your connection.

A leased line is an uncontended connection, reserved exclusively for your business. With a private fibre optic connection straight to your premises, your business can benefit from a high-quality internet connection and guaranteed upload and download speeds at all times.

How much does a leased line cost?

TalkTalk Business have a range of leased line packages to support the needs of any business. Prices start from as little as £90 per month (ex VAT. 36-month term.) for our EoFTTC 20 Mb packages.

Our expert team would be happy to help you choose the best option to suit the unique requirements of your business. To start a conversation, call us on 0333 060 1873 or book a callback at a time that suits.

What is full fibre broadband?

Full fibre broadband – also known as fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) – is an advanced internet connection that uses 100% fibre optic cables directly to your premises. It provides ultrafast, ultra-reliable connectivity, delivering data at the speed of light for a seamless and consistent internet experience for your business

Why chose full fibre for business?

In our increasingly digital world, businesses are entirely reliant on their connectivity, and no one should be on the back foot. But not all connectivity is created equal. Switch to ultrafast, ultra-reliable Full Fibre to drive your business growth and digital transformation ambitions.
